About Loro B Tylor
Loro Tylor lives on the Northwest coast of Ireland in the village of Strandhill on the Sligo Bay. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, it is a place of great natural beauty and ancient archaeological interest. Loro has been a prolific writer of spiritual and personal development topics, has taught many workshops, and was the Founder of a large spiritual centre in Canada. She recently revisited a childhood passion for writing poetry, and has been influenced by the highly renowned poet W.B.Yeats. He wrote a great deal about the Sligo area, calling it ‘The Land of Heart’s Desire’. This is Loro’s first foray into writing a children’s book, “Neffinn the Mermaid of Sligo Bay”. The book was inspired on her walks along the Strandhill beach and sand dunes.
Loro has spent most of her life in western Canada where, surrounded by mountains and the ocean, she spent free time hiking, camping, skiing, boating and backpacked solo around the world. Always one to pursue many interests and adventures, her work experiences include Civil Servant, Engineering Technician, Administration Manager, and she was also Licensed as a Private Pilot, Real Estate Agent, Fitness Instructor, and Marriage Commissioner. After retirement on a trip to Ireland, she fell in love with the land, and so made the decision to move back permanently to the land of her ancestors.
